The Wall is a database-driven directory, and we are direct about how it is made:

• Profile facts come from public sources. Ratings, review counts, services, hours, team size, rates, and minimums are taken as published on the company's Google Business Profile, Clutch profile, LinkedIn page, and own website, and each block on a profile names its source. See the methodology for the full list.
• Questions and answers are drafted by a language model from those facts. Since November 2026 the Q&A on each profile is written by a language model working only from the company's fact record and the buyer questions Google shows for its category. Every answer is checked by script before it is published: each number must appear in the record, and answers carrying contact details, calls to action, or unsupported figures are discarded. Profiles with too little on record keep a shorter template answer instead.
• No fabricated specifics. Where a fact (pricing, founding year, team size) is not published in our sources, profiles say so rather than guessing. Client names and case-study counts appear only when the company publishes them on its own site.
• Quoted material is attributed. When a profile quotes a company's own words, the quote's source (its website or its Clutch profile) is stated on the page.
• Automation in curation. Site liveness checks, US-location checks, deduplication, and data refreshes are automated. Selection standards and category taxonomy are human decisions.
