No more blank states: Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, and New Mexico join the index

Two weeks after The Wall launched with four states unrepresented, the August 9 index snapshot shows all 50 states plus the District of Columbia carrying listings. No state now holds fewer than six.

At launch on August 3, 2026, The Wall's index had four blank spots on the map: Arkansas, Hawaii, Mississippi, and New Mexico held no listings, and nine more states held fewer than five. The August 9 snapshot closes the gaps. Arkansas now carries 8 listings, Hawaii 9, Mississippi 6, and New Mexico 10, a combined 33 vendors where there were none. Every state in the country now holds at least six.

The launch-era thin tail thickened along with it. No state sits below five listings anymore. The new floor of the supply map is a 13-state group holding fewer than ten vendors each, 95 listings in total, or 2.7% of the 3,460-listing index.

The practical change for buyers is small but real. A company in Little Rock, Honolulu, Jackson, or Albuquerque that wants an in-state option on its shortlist now has one, which was not true three weeks ago. The larger point from the launch-era geography briefing still stands: nearly every firm in the index sells nationally, and a shortlist restricted to in-state vendors in a thin-tail state filters out most of the market for no operational reason.
